Counselling Approach & Philosophy

I engage with each person by adopting a direct, compassionate and curious approach to the challenges and experiences they present. Starting with each person’s distinctive life narrative and worldview, I adapt the counselling approach to harness individual strengths and internal resilience. My objective is to ensure that the counselling process is collaborative, empowering and enabling. My aim is to guide clients towards their unique inner knowing and authenticity.

I draw on multiple theoretical and practice viewpoints, including Psychodynamic, Humanistic Person Centered, Existential, Internal Family Systems & Compassion, Trauma informed and empowerment approaches.

I believe wellness is multi- dimensional and as such, I employ various techniques such as breath work, somatic awareness, internal parts narrative, nervous system regulation, mindfulness and compassionate self-care. I guide and support clients on their journey to regaining equilibrium, purpose, and meaningful connections in their lives.

I have specialized training and experience working with childhood abuse, abandonment, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, bereavement, disability, mental health challenges, self-esteem, conflict resolution and couples.

I maintain a particular interest in early life experience/attachment, interpersonal relationships and living fully and authentically.
