Education & Experience

Meena earned her Master’s in Advanced Social Work from the University of Westminster (London, UK), where she was recognized with the Advanced Award in Social Work.

She is a Registered Social Worker and holds membership with professional associations such as the BC College of Social Workers, the BC Association of Social Workers, and the Canadian Association of Social Workers.

Meena has a wealth of experience in working with various communities, including First Nations, visible minorities, diverse abilities, women, those with chronic health conditions, disabilities, and LGBTQ2SI individuals, Meena’s work history encompasses public agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and private clinical practice.

She has also contributed to the field through counselling, university lecturing, social work consultancy, and research advocacy in British Columbia.
